After a few iterations, v1.03 is available to addresses some crashes with versions of Caesar III (which were not obtained from gog.com) that halted on "Missing CD". The built-in fix maps the game directory as a fake CD drive.
Your feedback is very helpful. Please re-try the app after every update so I can apply more fixes.
I've also received feedback about the configurable game controls - these are going to be improved over time to accommodate increased playability for this game and future ones.
I'd be happy to see some videos of people using Winulator successfully :)
Nice, the game starts up now :)
ReplyDeletetoo bad about the "Beta" watermark indeed, but i can see where that's required if it still crashes fairly often...
Hey again :) Any info about next supported game? Can't wait for new posts from you! ^^
ReplyDeleteHopefully later this month there will be an announcement, with a video :)
DeleteGreat!
DeleteAlso, I'm tracking for clicks to your app from post in my blog - at least 1 transition to google play already happened, and also there were some reposts in livejournal and russian facebook clone (vkontakte).

Yep, it's in russian. :) I'll help you with popularising your app in any possible way!
ooooh, Heroes of Might and Magic 3! xD
ReplyDeleteThat one needs serious consideration imho :)
Awesome! thanks! It work pretty good on my yinlips g16 :)
ReplyDeleteWould it be possible to make the left click a configure option? Maybe sticky by default? I have a note 10.1 with the s-pen and it makes it easy to play the game, but I can't position some things without undoing since it builds it immediately.
ReplyDeleteIf I understand you correctly, you want to emulate mouse moves with no pressed mouse buttons?
DeleteBased on feedback I am exploring various extensions and improvements to the input - if you can post a video on how you make use or intend to make use of the stylus with the game, it would help.
Thanks.
That would be correct.
DeleteI'll see what I can do.
HoMM3 and Diablo 2 please !
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update!
ReplyDeleteHalf life would be cool (At least with Software Render)
Are you planning to support localized versions of CaesarIII (Russian etc.)?
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to see the the emulator going universal to run more games besides Caesar III.
ReplyDeleteIt would be also awesome to see it running 3D games.
